2015 was a ‘landmark’ year for Slaithwaite Moonraking Festival which celebrated it’s 30th anniversary in style!
The 2015 festival went without a hitch, with hundreds of visitors joining the village of Slaithwaite in it’s celebrations and there was great coverage of this years event in the local paper – take a look!
Gill Bond, Festival Coordinator, said:
“We have to thank all those who helped in the build-up, with 900 turning out in the workshops to make 211 lanterns. There is an awful lot of work goes into the organisation and we need money for things like insurance and traffic management, but people really embrace the festival. Let us hope it can go from strength to strength”.
