Sound Circle Singing Workshop with Jess Baker

Sunday January 22nd 2-4 at The Watershed

Sound Circle Impro: for anyone over 16yrs who like to sing – on stage, in a choir or in the bath! This vocal workshop will explore sound through improvisation and vocal percussion and is led by the amazing voice teacher Jess Baker. This session is part of an ongoing music programme between The Watershed and Be More Outdoors that will run to the end of the year, exploring improvisational music-making. It is funded by Creative Minds and KYOM.

Lantern Volunteer Training Day

Sunday January 29th 9.30-4.30 at The Watershed 

Volunteer and join the team!

Taster Samba Band Workshops

Saturday 4th February 3.00-4.30pm at Slaithwaite Community Centre

aster Samba Band Workshop. Come and enjoy learning samba drumming rhythms with the fabulous percussionist, Katie Mallard leader of Banda Nua Ru. A fun session for all ages – great for families. All children to be accompanied by a participating adult. Under 5’s will play shakers and sound makers. 

The session tickets are £3 per person, under 5’s free.

Create a ‘Mumming’ Street Play to animate the procession

Every Thursday from January 12th – February 16th early evening at The Watershed]

as part of Switch-on Drama Street Theatre and Hab Dab Costume Makers for young people 11-16 years. Both these activity sessions for young people continue to run at The Watershed in term time.
