2025 is a very special year. It marks the 40th Anniversary of the Moonraking Festival and 100 years of Carr Lane’s shops in the centre of Slaithwaite.
We’re planning over a year’s activities with local people uncovering memories, stories and making new historical archives, exhibitions and creative projects. We’ll be working with local groups, Green Valley Grocers, local businesses, Colne Valley Museum, West Yorkshire Archives and many others on our most ambitious programme yet.
Our Moonraking Festival in 2025 will explore the history of shops and shopping in our wonderful village.
As ever, we are busily raising funds to make this happen.
